actor

I have been fortunate enough to act on AEA and Non-AEA stages, in film/television/interactive media projects, and in the recording studio with voice-over work. I hold an MFA in Acting from the University of California and a BA in Drama from San Francisco State University. I am affiliated with AEA, ASCAP, and am SAG-eligible.

Some practitioners that influence my work are Stanislavski, Meisner, Chekhov, and Hagen. I believe whole-hardheartedly in Meisner’s motto: “living truthfully under imaginary circumstances” and I applaud imaginative, creative actors who balance instinct with skill/technique. I have extensive training in Linklater vocal technique – supplemented with a bits of Patsy Rodenburg and classic Edith Skinner IPA. I am a singing actor currently sliding down from a tenor range to a baritone range as I have aged. I have been a student of Overlie’s original Viewpoints in addition to having considerable training in Laban-based movement composition.
